Meet the crew

Sarme minassian

With over twenty-five years of experience in radio and on TV, Sarme fell in love with broadcasting early on. At the tender age of eight, she was already reciting jingles and singing Armenian songs. Her career began on Radio Paradise, reading horoscopes for one hour a day.

Soon after, Sarme became the talk of the town, presenting shows, while working as a reporter on ATN. Her persistence and hard work landed her an interview with Rafic Hariri, an unprecedented move for a young reporter, who would eventually lead the TV department at the station.

For Sarme broadcasting is a passion, not a responsibility. Every morning on “Kavat Me Sourdji Shourch”, a favorite of Radio Sevan listeners, the audience connects with her on a personal level, which still humbles her after so many years. Sarme is married with two daughters, who are 14 and 24.

Shiraz jerejian

Shiraz stumbled on to broadcasting unintentionally and hasn’t looked back since. A graduate of Hovagimian-Manoogian School and A.U.B., where he majored in Biology, Shiraz never thought his love of politics would take him this far

After successfully auditioning for an anchor position on Future TV’s Armenian news program, he found his true calling. He is currently one of Radio Sevan’s news presenters and hosts the “Navasart” and “Kaghakagan Zartonk” programs, incorporating his passion for sports and politics.

Shiraz is also a student at L.A.U., where he is earning a Master’s Degree in International Affairs. His hobbies are playing sports and travelling.

Harout torossian

Harout is one of the humores members of the Radio Sevan family, but has already made a name for himself as the station’s Armenian Ryan Seacrest. Host of the "Lavakoun Dasnyag" (Top 10) music program, Harout brings color and life to the show.

An actor by trade, he graduated from the Armenian Evangelical Central High School and Melkonian School respectively. He has performed in numerous theatrical shows with the AGBU's "Vahram Papazian" theater group, took on the role as Charlie Chaplin in Hamazkayin’s tribute to the silent film star, which took place in June of 2009 at the Casino du Liban, and most recently Harout is a member of  Tekeyan's "Yervant Odian" theater group.

Nazely ebeyan-nalbandian

A reporter in every sense of the word, Nazeli has been part of every facet of the media spectrum. As a writer, reporter, editor and graphic designer of several Armenian publications, namely Ararad, Zartonk and Tidag, she has been developing her skills in journalism for years.

Because of her experience in political reporting, she was chosen to co-anchor Future TV’s Armenian news program. Nazeli’s first official report was on the Armenian genocide. Currently, she is working on her degree in Journalism and is also a presenter of several educational and cultural programs on Radio Sevan.

Nazeli loves dancing, basketball and scouting.

Seza kirishdjian

As a news and programs presenter, Seza joined Radio Sevan in 2008, after replying to an employment ad on Facebook.

Her father didn’t think she was old enough for a presenter position, but Seza, as confident as ever, took a chance and tried out. She was hired immediately for her great voice and natural abilities.

In addition to presenting the news, Seza also hosts the "Hedakenoutyoun" and "Pourvar" programs, two of the more serious topics discussed on the station that are handled with great humility and respect, regardless of Seza’s cheerful and bubbly personality.

A graduate of Hovagimian-Manoogian school, she currently attends Haigazian University, majoring in Political Science.

Krikor deguirmenjian

"A Little Bit of Laughter" is exactly what Krikor has given us over the years.

As an actor, director, editor, writer and dentist if you can believe it, Krikor is a true renaissance man. He began his career forty years ago in Lebanon, mostly doing musical theater, namely "Oliver Twist", "The Sound of Music" and "Annie". He heads the Vartan Papazian Theater Group, directing funny, yet poignant shows yearly.

Krikor is also a writer for "Zartonk" newspaper, in addition to his work at Radio Sevan presenting "Egek Angeghds Khosink", a truthful look into modern society, which he co-hosts with Maggy Vassilian.

Nayri shorjian

One of the younger members of the Radio Sevan staff, Nayri is a burst of light. Coincidently, the program that she presents, "Shoghartsag" is just that, a fun and informative show directed towards the Armenian youth.

Kids get to call in and show off their many talents, answer questions about various topics or just say hi to their friends. It’s exactly the kind of forum that Nayri can direct, seeing as to she’s in the same generation as the callers.

A graduate of Hovagimian-Manoogian school, she currently attends Haigazian University, majoring in Psychology. Nayri’s hobbies are drawing, dancing, and writing.

Vera tavoukjian

A co-host on the "Shoghartsag" children’s program and an adolescent as well, Vera is the youngest presenter on Radio Sevan. She attends Hovagimian-Manoogian School where she is currently in the 11th grade.

Although she presents the show in Armenian, Vera plans to study English Literature after graduating high school.
